Reviews and Ratings

We do not publish testimonials on this page, and there is a reason for that. This site launched in 2026. Any wall of five-star quotes here would be either our own providers reviewing themselves or something we wrote, and neither would tell you anything. When we have collected enough real homeowner feedback for the number to mean something, it will appear here with the sample size next to it.

What we can tell you now is how reviews are used before you are ever matched.

The rating bar a provider has to clear

Every company we match has to hold a 4.5-star average across at least 20 Google reviews, or pass reference checks if they are newer than that. We read the one- and two-star reviews specifically, because the pattern in them matters more than the average: a company with three complaints about no-shows is a different risk than a company with three complaints about price.

Ratings are re-checked quarterly. A provider whose average slips below the bar stops receiving matches until it recovers.

Why we do not run our own review widget

Review widgets on matching sites have an obvious conflict: the company running the widget also decides which reviews load. Google Business Profiles are public, outside our control, and harder to game. When you are matched, you get the provider's name before you submit anything, so you can read their reviews yourself on Google in about ten seconds.

What happens when a job goes wrong

Email or call us. Three things happen:

  • You get re-matched with a different provider at no cost, and we tell the new company what went wrong so you are not repeating yourself.
  • The complaint is logged against that provider. We ask them for their side, because a fair number of complaints turn out to be a scheduling mix-up rather than bad work.
  • Two upheld complaints and the provider is removed from the network. We would rather have four companies we trust than twelve we do not.

We are not a contractor and we do not supervise the work, so we cannot fix a bad job ourselves. What we can do is stop sending homeowners to a company that produces them.

The standards behind the rating

Ratings are one of six checks. The rest cover insurance, VDACS pesticide certification, locality, response time and a signed agreement not to resell your information. See the full provider standards.

Questions homeowners ask

Do you show reviews of your own service?

Not yet. We launched in 2026 and we would rather show nothing than pad the page. When we have enough homeowner feedback to be meaningful, it goes here with the count attached.

Can a provider pay for a better rating?

No. Providers pay us for introductions, not placement. Rating thresholds are pass or fail and are checked against public Google data we do not control.

What if my matched provider does bad work?

Tell us. We re-match you with a different company at no cost and the original provider goes under review. Two upheld complaints and they are removed.
